The "Player of the Month", 
 JULY Tournament was  held Sunday 8/22/10 at:

The turnout for the tournament, had most locations represented & 72 players seated, including  7 USTP directors, RP & Steve all worth bounties.
The various location top players were acknowledged by USTP & the Winner's hats were given out.

This monthly, USTP will reward 1st & 2nd place with Saturday Tournament buy-ins for new weekend tournaments in the expanded poker room at 
CHINOOK WINDS CASINO & 3rd place will be given a Sunday Tournament buy-in at CHINOOK WINDS!
 USTP will continue to award buy-ins for tournament seats at the monthlies, as long as there are tournaments being held locally. 
The blinds were set at 20 minutes on request &
as usual,when the blinds reached 500/1000 & after a short break, more players started feeling the squeeze & getting knocked out, and after another hour or so, at about 4:00, we reached the Final table & 2 directors were  left at the Final table, including our own STEVE "CARDFATHER" CAPKA & our JUBITZ & JO'S director,most widely known as
"UNCLE CARL" !
Unfortunately, getting all in in a 4 way pot, "CARDFATHER" didn't better his pocket 6's & went out in 8th place. Next was a double short stack hand where TERRI LEO from JUBITZ, having fewer chips went out in 7th place & GLORIA THURSTON from ICE HOUSE, having more chips went out in 6th place, both in the same hand. KEITH SMITH from HANKO'S was next to feel the heat & ended up in 5th place. DAN PLANTON from ICE HOUSE, even with the rooting support from his wife, Josie, couldn't outdo runner, runner to go out in 4th place. BRYAN PROSSER from TIMBER, made another strong showing at Monthly, but didn't survive Q/8 vs A/5 & went out in 3rd place. BRYAN gets a Sunday Tournament buy-in at CHINOOK WINDS for his finish. Now there were 2 & no give with either one. "UNCLE CARL" from JUBITZ & JO'S, won a crippling hand when a 4 hit the river to make his 10/3 all-in a straight. A hand later, BRYAN EDWARDS from ANOTHER ROUND got his short stack in with pocket 3's, only to feel the punch of "UNCLE CARL" catching 6's on the river for the win. BRYAN will go to a Saturday Tournament at CHINOOK WINDS for his effort!

& only the 3rd director to win in 19 monthlies! 
CARL will also be going to a Saturday Tournament at CHINOOK WINDS for the win!
